Hi Guys
I posted new tracks and videos. I hope you might listen, but my experience on Vox is that people are only here to be listened TO not to pro-actively listen to other artists music. Sorry to sound cynical.
If I'm wrong I'd LOVE to be proved wrong.
I think that is what is wrong with Vox. It''s mainly people posting to be heard by the music industry and be 'picked up' and we (and I include ME here) don't actively :LISTEN.
Maybe we should do something about that. Lets see about cutting out the middle man here and make our own VOICE

Paul, you are most defintely right mate!
Pretty much everyone on Vox (including me) is just here to have their music heard by the A&R and don't really wanna participate in listening to other peoples' music.
Vox is the wrong model for the A&R to use in terms of demo submissions etc.
I've said it so many times and i feel like i'm just talking to a brick wall now! lol
Oh well!
I don't even feel like they are pickin up on anyone anyway. We are metaphorically a crowd of hungry peasants waiting for the masters to throw us scraps of food. LOL
At least its nice to know that we can develop our own little music empires and feed ourselves. And I think that you sold 125 CD's is brilliant!

There are some things that still mystify me.
All of members of this group that don't even have a single word on their profile. let alone post music.Very weird.
Then , its the people that don't even read the comments on there own posts.
Mind you there is on new member on here that DELETED all of the comments of welcome and praise, straight away.
Never mind , both , at least you know that someone is listening here.

Why is that you can wait all morning for a parcel, then as soon as you take the dog out it comes and you miss it?
Hope you don't mind me adding...
...it's probably the same for everyone - would I be wrong in saying that I am the best songwriter EVER? You'd probably say the same about yoursleves too.
The fact is I'm probably not the best songwriter EVER - but I'm gonna have to believe in myself before anyone else does.
So yeah - keep posting YOUR stuff and make a point to listen to at least one other song by someone else once a day and leave a comment. Sometimes you can't leave a comment cos it's just not your preferred style of music so you can't really say one way or the other if it's good or bad.
You also then need to solicit constructive criticism and deal with it in a productive way. Plain offensive comments shouldn't be deleted - it may actually work in your favour. Why? Well those who just say things like "it'scr8p" or "it's sh1t!" clearly haven nothing to bring to the party and people will just avoid them.
(I write this at work - but will lead by example when I get home)
Paul......Couriers have special chips built in to there vans that direct them to people that are not at home. The latest models even work out the delay based on the importance of the delivery.
One courier I know of is very advanced on the technology front ,, they can attempt delivery to the door and find no one in three times without appearing on the CCTV tapes
Mind you they later admitted that they didnt know where we were at all (despite being the same postcard)
I like to listen to peoples stuff a lot and I always leave a good comment, but you don't always get one back.
I love Nathalie MIranda @ nathaliemiranda.com she has a truly amazing voice from such a demure person

And yes, Lee your honesty is excellent. It took me a long while before I could relax about others being better than me without being jealous of them.
We are here to learn and help others
The only problem I have with this site is that it's not as user friendly as something like MySpace. I love listening to other bands/artists/whatever and I can do that much quicker and with less fuss on MySpace than on here.
I like the blogging/moaning aspect of this site but i hardly ever listen to any music on it.
